We are so glad you visited our website
and do hope to meet you at church soon.

Pastor Karl and Erika Buchan-Smith

As a visitor it may be rather daunting visiting a new or different church.

We are glad that you have, or are planning to visit WBC.

At WBC you will discover that: ** We love Christ and we love His Word

** We are a growing family of believers that seeks to glorify Christ through teaching, worship, fellowship, outreach and prayer.

** We are very serious about studying God’s Word and seeking to honor Christ as the Chief Shepherd of His Church.

We are a growing church and are very much in the early processes of establishing ourselves as a solid expository church that desires to embrace the missionary heart of Christ.

Please feel free to approach our pastor or leaders to find out more about us.

Morning Worship Service Times:

Morning Worship Service: 9:00 -10:30

Tea, coffee and fellowship in the main hall: 10:30 – 11:00

Sunday Seminary : 11:00 – 12:00 – We cover topics that encourage spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with the Lord. You can find out more about this under Sunday Seminary.

Visitors are made to feel like family!

When you visit us for the first time, please be sure to get a visitor’s pack. Inside is a form, which we would ask you to fill in and hand back to one of our deacons or the pastor.

Completing the visitor’s form does not commit you to anything, but will enable us to contact you in the future.

We would love for you to join us for refreshments and fellowship after the service and for Sunday Seminary too.

We have a childcare facility for children under the age of 6, where childcare at this stage may be provided on request. There is also a small cry room for your little ones at the back of the church, behind the media desk.

We are hoping and trusting to get our Sunday school up and running during the course of 2020 as the congregation grows.

What is the purpose of the church?

The mission of the church refers to the co comprehensive goal or mandate of the church to bring glory to God through biblical teaching, God centered worship, united fellowship, prayer and bold outreach to the unbelieving world.

Preachers that preach at Witbank Baptist Church are selected expository preachers.

This means that they preach biblical truth derived from a process of exegesis. The preacher uses what is termed the historical, grammatical literal method to interpret the Scriptures.  It is preaching in which its sole source is from the Scripture. The message come from the Scriptures through careful study. It is preaching that  explains the original God intended meaning of the passage to its original recipients and applies the timeless principles to our modern-day situations.

8 They read from the book, from the Law of God, clearly, and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading. Nehemiah 8:8 (ESV)
